Galaxy Battles presents a breathtaking variety of arcade space shooting. You get into the not-too-distant future. Numerous alien invaders attacked the Galaxy. You are the captain of a state-of-the-art spaceship. The spaceship is equipped with the newest devices and the most advanced weapons. The following full-length review applies to version 2.0
Galaxy Battles is a decent spaceship war game. Like most of these games the aim is to destroy as many enemies as possible to avoid the earth to be conquered by the aliens, who try to invade it.
This particular game is pretty much as every other war game. It has decent graphics and visual and sound effects. The music is nice too, nothing out of the ordinary.
It has a window mode as well as a full screen mode to choose from.
It is really easy to play but you can do it only with the keyboard, it does not allow you to play using the mouse like other games do.
The biggest disadvantage I found is that the game itself is slow. The transition between the levels and stages take too long and the space battles seem to take place slowly. It is not a very dynamic game.
On the positive side it gives you the possibility to post your high scores in an online list and compete with people from all over the world to have the highest score.
And maybe most important, the game is totally free so you can have the full version for no cost at all. |
